PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Faustino coordinates the Competition Law area of LEĜA. He has extensive experience in the evaluation of economic concentrations and in competition consultation and litigation.He advises on the functioning of regulated sectors, government policies, issuance, analysis and application of general and sectorial rules that affect the economic activity of different industries, allowing him to participate in the planning and strategic decisions of clients. Faustino joined LEĜA as Senior Partner in 2019, after the merger with Imery Urdaneta, where he directed the areas of Competition and Public Law.

EXPERIENCE
- Participation in important administrative, judicial and arbitration litigation in antitrust and regulatory matters in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
- Participation in merger and acquisition proceedings that have required the approval of the Antitrust Agency.
- He participated in the creation of the Antitrust Superintendency and advised the Andean Community of Nations in the discussion on the merger rules in Peru.
SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
- Faustino participates as a speaker in specialized conferences on various topics of Economic Regulation and Public Law. He has recently lectured in the Dominican Republic and Spain.
ACADEMIC ACTIVITY
- Faustino is professor of Economic Law at Universidad Monteávila since 2003 and Competition Law in Intellectual Property Specialization of Universidad de Los Andes.
- He has also been professor at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello on Competition Law and Consumer Protection and professor at Instutito de Estudios Superiores de Administracion de Empresas IESA on Regulatory Affairs.
RECOGNITIONS
- Faustino is highlighted as a leader in Competition Law and in Public Law by Chambers Latin America, Latin Lawyer and Legal 500. On several occasions he has been selected as Attorney of the Year in Competition Law by Best Lawyers.
- He was decorated in 2003 by the Municipality of Chacao for his outstanding professional performance.
