LEGA is pleased to announce the promotion of John Tucker to Senior Partner. John obtained his law
degree from the University of Zulia in 2000 and an LL.M degree from Vanderbilt University Law
school in 2005.
John joined LEGA in 2000 and leads the firm’s Sport’s and Technology practice groups. He specializes
in Labor and Employment law and also Corporate, Mergers and Acquisition work. John has had a
very distinguished career. His outstanding legal skills, responsiveness and professionalism have
allowed him to ascend through the ranks of our firm from junior partner in 2009, partner in 2012
and now Senior Partner in 2019.
He has participated as speaker at differences Major League Baseball conferences and meetings in
Orlando, New York, Dallas, Denver, and Phoenix. He has also been a speaker for the Employment
Law Alliance, Lex Mundi and other organizations such as Latin Lawyer.
John is recognized by several legal directories such as Chamber Global in Corporate, Mergers &
Acquisitions, and foreign expert in US Law. Chambers Latin America, The Legal 500 and Who’s Who
Legal have also recognized John as a leader in Labor and Employment Law in Venezuela.
John’s appointment as senior partner is evidence of the opportunities of growth in LEGA, a firm that
recognizes the quality and excellence of its professionals.
